Dear Parents,
We appreciate all your support at this time. Adjusting to this digital way of teaching is going to be a small adjustment and we may hit some bumps but we will work them out together. Please make sure your students are spending the appropriate amount of time on each subject area. If they would like to work ahead they may. We know many of you are dealing with less than ideal situations. As a fourth grade team we have worked hard to have the information delivered in the simplest form possible. Please just make sure work is being done and that you are looking it over to make sure it's their best quality work. We are available during school hours for any questions for concerns that arise. We also have ways to video chat so if you feel your student needs a little extra support please let us know and we will make arraignments. Students are also able to ask us questions on google classroom.
For math, reading, and language students will need to access these platforms through their CLEVER portal. For subjects including Spanish, vocabulary, social studies, science, and writing these will be done through google classroom. Please make sure you are familiar with these and can access them at home. Each title icon is a hyperlink you can click on to take you to the sign-in page. On google classroom we are able to chat with each other and I am able to grade and leave comments. Please check for these and make appropriate changes if needed, especially in writing.
Along with this please continue to have them do 30 minutes of reading a night. Please remember unfortunately this is not a vacation. Students need to be keeping up with assignments to be ready for 5th grade. We hope everyone stays healthy and safe these next couple of weeks. This is a big change for all of us but we will get through this. Teaching them in our privilege Please let them know their teachers will miss them these next few weeks.
